About the Opportunity

Our community recently developed and ratified our Land Use Plan. This plan sets out the work we need to do to responsibly and effectively manage the lands and resources throughout our Territory. Through BC’s Capacity Initiative fund, our Nation recently received monies to support a Lands & Resources Worker to help with carrying out the work of our Lands & Resources Department. The successful candidate will be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with Band staff, Chief and Council, and external consultants. There is potential for this position to become permanent, dependent on the
candidate’s performance and interest, and our ability to secure funding into the future.

The position is full-time for one year, with a salary range of $17-21/hour, dependent on experience. Some on-the-job training and mentoring will be provided, dependent on the candidate’s experience and need. The position reports to the Lands & Resources Coordinator, but works as a team member with all of the administration.
