River Walks- July 2020

Fieldwork on the Dtlaxsiwè (Cluxewe),
Giyuxw (Keogh) & Songhees

 Dear Community Members,

In July we will be conducting 20 days of fieldwork taking a look at three of our main rivers – the Cluxewe, Keogh and Songhees. We will be taking out two-person crews from our Nation, and working alongside Pacificus biologists. The work is to assess and evaluate the state of our watersheds and identify the work that needs to be done to improve their health. If you are interested in the wellbeing of our watersheds and/or becoming a Kwakiutl Guardian in the future, this is great experience!

Please submit your interest to the Lands & Resources email: lands-resources @kwakiutl.bc.ca, or call: (250) 949-6012 (x3157) and leave a message. Thank you.
