About the DAFGP

The goal of the program is to increase healthy birth and post-partum outcomes for Indigenous parents, babies and families by providing financial support for birth parents to access doula services. Birth parents have indicated that their chosen doula helped them to feel empowered during their birth experience and had positive impacts on their transition into parenthood. This is an exciting time for a program coordinator to begin with the DAFGP. The program has recently completed new changes, as well as a program evaluation to guide future improvements, and is expected to reach more Indigenous families and doulas than ever before. We are looking forward to meeting the select candidate who will oversee the continued success of the program. Our ideal candidate will be experienced in administration and program coordination, and have strong communication skills to connect with families welcoming new babies, and to support the doulas providing these important services.
